Rev. Alvin W. Dockett Installed as Pastor

After an intense search and prayerful consideration, The Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church, has selected Rev. Alvin W. Dockett (son of Rev. Dr. Charles W. & Dr. Margaret Dockett) to be their shepherd according to Jeremiah 3:15, a pastor/teacher according to Ephesians 4:11, and one who fulfills the qualities of an overseer according to 1 Timothy 3.

To celebrate the pastoral installation of Rev. Alvin W. Dockett and the welcoming of Lady Michelle Dockett, the following events were held at:

The Pre-Installation services were held on Monday, September 12, 2011 with First Lady Recognition Night through Friday, September 16, 2011 with services beginning at 7:30pm with special guest preachers including:

Monday, September 12 – Bishop Alfred Owens, Jr., Greater Mount Calvary Holy Church

Tuesday, September 13 – Pastor Herbert Jackson, Life Changing Church

Wednesday, September 14 – Pastor Alonzo Walker, Sr., Bethel Deliverance Outreach Ministries

Thursday, September 15 – Pastor Anthony Moore, Carolina Missionary Baptist Church

Friday, September 16 – Pastor Tony Matthews, Tabernacle of Praise OFW Baptist Church

The installation service was held Sunday, September 18, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Orlando Vick of the Greater Providence Missionary Baptist Church, Newark, NJ and concluding at 3:30 p.m. with the Rev. Dr. Charles Dockett of the Kingdom Missionary Baptist Church, Bladensburg, MD.

The St. John Baptist Church family extends heartfelt congratulations to Pastor Alvin and First Lady Michelle Dockett.
