MLK Memorial Dedication

The long awaited day is finally here – the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial dedication and official unveiling is scheduled for Sunday, August 28, 2011 on the National Mall. President Barack Obama will deliver remarks during the dedication. Pre-dedication festivities will begin on the 22nd.

It is also the 48th Anniversary of the March on Washington and the “I Have a Dream” speech at the Lincoln Memorial (August 28, 1963).
